Playgroups USA started WeeBoogie Music & Dance events to provide a fun family event for parents and children and to also provide awareness and support for local, non-profit organizations that serve parents and children in the community.
By the time children enter school at age 5 or 6, the most important time for them to develop their music listening vocabularies has passed. Yet, children that attend a WeeBoogie event will experience music and dance as our Disc Jockies spin great songs while the kids shake their maracas, thump tambourines and boogie to the music.
“We hope our children’s fundraising events, WeeBoogie, will continue to engage the
community with our mission to inspire parents to encourage music and dance early
in a childs life while also supporting local, non-profits that serve young families.”
says Jodi Van Lom, Co-founder of Playgroups USA.
WeeBoogie is more than just a great way for parents/caregivers to enjoy a fun music experience with their children - it’s a way to give back. Our music events can also provide local companies sponsorship opportunities at an ideal venue accommodating hundreds of families. Our events will always benefit a local charity. The most recent event benefited The Parker Autism Foundation and gave Playgroups USA an opportunity to give back to the wonderful community of Charlotte that supports local playgroups and the benefits they provide. WeeBoogie events are community focused and will always be coordinated with the highest degree of creativity and professionalism.
